How to improve competitiveness of starch processing industry?

In China, the potato starch processing industry as raw materials are emerging industries, especially potatoes, the proposed grain, the industry has been an unprecedented concern. However, due to the optimization of potato starch production and government subsidy support, potato starch production cost is low, which has a great impact on the potato starch industry in China. To change this unfavorable situation, speed up China's starch processing potato varieties for breeding work has become a top priority.
Potato processing industry for potato varieties of high demand, but for a long time China's potato breeding light weight quality, high starchy varieties is very scarce, cultivation technology is not supporting low yield, there is no industrial production mode, seriously restricting our potato Starch processing industry development.
In response to these problems, 2012 National Agricultural Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Fund to start a major project, the starch processing of new potato varieties, "Kexin 22" pilot production and demonstration and extension work to support.
The project has established a complete industrial chain from seed cultivation, propagation, extension to processing. Over the past three years, the project has produced 146,000 tons of excellent seed potatoes, 11 million mu of core demonstration area and 20 million mu of radiation. The average yield of core area is 2.36 tons / Mu. The actual starch content was 19.2%. The production of refined starch was 2003 tons. The sales income was 34.99 million yuan. The industrialized production model of the farmers' research base was formed, realizing a win-win situation for both enterprises and farmers.
